Transfer Talk: PNE Look At Villa's Robinson Again

Transfer Talk: PNE Look At Villa's Robinson Again
Preston boss Simon Grayson is keen to bring striker Callum Robinson back to Deepdale if a deal can be done with Aston Villa.

Robinson was a hit when he was last at Preston earlier in the season, he made 11 appearances for the Lilywhites and netted five goals while going about it, including the winner against top of the table Bristol City in his last game for the club.
'We've had a conversation but it's very difficult because Aston Villa want to keep their options open.' - Simon Grayson.

His loan came to an end when he was recalled to his parent club in November.

However, after making his return to Vale Park, he has not featured for the club's first team although he has been on the bench.

Grayson is now hoping that he can pull off another loan for the 19 year old which would help the club out after losing Joe Garner with a knee injury.

Grayson told reporters: 'I'd love to bring Callum Robinson back to the club.

'But that's not our call, that will be when Villa decide if he's available. We might have to be patient.

'We've had a conversation but it's very difficult because Aston Villa want to keep their options open and see what they're doing. I fully respect that. We're asking the question because we like the kid and he did really well for us.'

Good one to get back, I like him. Doubt Villa will go for it though unless they get someone in.
