Vital Report - Preston 1-2 Blackburn
Preston's Championship season continued with a two-one defeat against Lancashire rivals Blackburn at Deepdale on Saturday.
Having kept cleansheets in the previous six-matches it was Pickford that finally beat himself as Blackburn went ahead! Rhodes added a second before Garner got one back but when Wright was sent off Preston couldn't find a way back in this two-one defeat.

Preston were positive and, in an opening period that didn't see too many chances, had the best one when Gallagher was denied a goal against his former side when Blackburn 'keeper Steele saved his effort.
I think you've got to say it was somewhat ironic that having kept cleansheets in the previous six-matches, and up to that point 30-minutes, Preston's loanee 'keeper from Sunderland Pickford (31) eventually became the man to beat himself!
An effort from Blackburn's Akpan was turned into his own goal for what will definitely be an unwanted own goal from the England U21 international to have the visitors ahead.
Blackburn had a chance to go two-up early in the second half, which Scottish international Rhodes (52) took early in the second half from the penalty spot with this awarded after a Huntington foul on Taylor.
With transfer deadline day signing from Sheffield Wednesday May having his effort blocked Preston were given hope when Garner (67) followed up with half of the second period remaining to make it two-one against his former side.
But these hopes soon faded when Wright picked up two yellow cards in quick succession to see Preston, and not for the first time this season, end with 10-men with Blackburn doing enough for the points.

Despite that cleansheet run Preston remained in trouble, not many of those cleansheets ended in draws though, with this defeat seeing PNE now just two-points above the bottom three.
