Vital Report - Preston 1-2 Derby
Preston's Championship season continued with a latest defeat at Deepdale against Derby on Saturday.
A third defeat in succession for Preston, as Derby won for a first time this term thanks to a Martin double with PNE scoring late on through Johnson, saw the return to action after the international duty with a two-nil defeat.

Derby went ahead when Martin (23), following a pass from Scottish international teammate Russell, controlled and finished at the midway point of the first half.
Having threatened a second, through debutant Johnson, this came from 20-yards as Martin (36) put a freekick into the top corner.
Derby 'keeper Grant denied Preston a couple of times, including a long range effort from Johnson, as PNE looked to get back into the game.
Had Garner's effort not hit the post, maybe a point could have been secured?
In the 13th-minute of injury-time Preston did have one back, with so much injury-time played following a long delay after a serious injury to Derby captain Baird, through Johnson (90) as he curled home but that wasn't any more than a consolation with the further three-minutes that followed unable to produce a leveller for PNE.
Did a starter, or someone from the bench, offer the most in this two-one defeat?
