Rochdale 3-0 North End
North End's unbeaten run came to a crushing end on Saturday afternoon with Rochdale well and truly beating us.
A 3-0 defeat, and a missed penalty, at Spotland will make this a game we'll swiftly want to forget as our seven game winning run came to an end.
Things might have been different had Joe Garner's header not hit the bar from Paul Gallagher's freekick.
Rochdale then went and took the lead when Michael Rose's freekick was met by Jack O'Connell's (28) header to beat Jamie Jones and give the hosts the lead.
Minutes later it as two when Rhys Bennett's miss hit shot fell kindly to Ian Henderson (32) who made no mistake to make it two-nil at the break.
Garner was again denied early in the second half as Rochdale 'keeper Conrad Logan save before putting another effort over the bar.
A mix up at the back allowed Matt Done (61) to make sure of the points just past the hour, finishing into an empty net.
We knew it wasn't going to be our day when Ashley Eastham brought down Garner, who stepped up himself to take the penalty that Logan again turned away really well to keep it at three-nil.
Little time can be spent dwelling on this as we're back in action against Swindon Town on Tuesday as we look to make amends.
