North End 2-0 Port Vale
An unbeaten record at home inches closer to a year-long milestone with Preston securing another home three points against Port Vale on Saturday afternoon.
The unbeaten run we're on was extended to five-games with a 2-0 win over 10-man Port Vale.
Port Vale started the game brightly, with Michael O'Connor and Mark Marshall both going close.
Joe Garner threatened with an overhead kick before Paul Gallagher (42) opened the scoring when he belted home after being set up by Garner to send us into the break one-nil up.
Bournemouth loanee defender Stephane Zubar saw red with a little over 10-minutes to play when he was sent off for striking Garner and we almost immediately following this red card took advantage.
Alan Browne (81) ran through the midfield to fire past Chris Neal, with the 'keeper beaten by a wicked deflection that wrong footed him, to secure us a two-nil win.
