At home you always fancy us to, at least, avoid defeat and once more we managed this and got back to winning ways too.

Preston secured a first league win in four games as we extended our impressive unbeaten record at Deepdale with a deserved win over Crawley Town, 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Frustratingly Crawley 'keeper Jamie Ashdown pulled off a great save to keep out Joe Garner and deny us the lead but from the corner that followed Bailey Wright (23) fired us into the lead.

Fortunate favoured us when Crawley were denied an equaliser when Dean Leacock's headed against the bar.

A chance to double the lead, and just about put the game out of sight, came our way around the midway point of the second half when we were awarded a penalty.

Returning Crawley loanee defender Mat Saddler handed in the area with Garner (65) stepping up to secure the two-nil win.
