The PNE youngsters continue to impress as they win the LFA Youth Cup for the fourth time in a row infront of a big crowd at Deepdale.

North Ends one and only goal came when Brandon Zibaka's struck home from close range in the 57th minute.

Burnley started well after Luke Gallagher was left free in the penalty box, however he mistimed the shot and North End got a lucky escape.

Six minutes later North End fought back when Clark did a great 40 yard pass to put PNE striker Zibaka through on goal, Zibaka turned from the Burnley defence and shot but his effort from five yards out was tipped over the bar.

Clark was starting to look like the key player as his long ball was causing Burnley real problems, he also put in a great tackle to prevent Gilchrist from shooting from just outside the box.

Clark then came close just before half time after his 20 yard shot took a heavy deflection and went inchs wide of the post.

In the second half Burnley once again started off on top.

Six minutes in Shay McCartan ran 60 yards down the field and cut inside on goal, Clark and Kuba-Kuba was on his tail though and McCartans shot went wide.

In the 57th minute North End eventually took a deserved lead thanks to some great play from Clark and Dudley, Clark started the move after giving Dudley the ball 20 yards from goal, Dudley then whipped the ball in to Zibaka who put the ball in the back of the net from close range.

Burnley came close to equalizing come the 79th minute as Gallagher put McCartan through on goal, PNE goalkeeper Watson charged at the attack and kept his side infront with a well timed rush.

North End played with a cool head for the remainder of the game and with some fearless defending from Daniel Forbes North End kept their lead.

The final whistle blew and the PNE youngsters had completed the double, victory in both the league and cup.

The 1,000 strong crowd also got to see some silverware lifted inside Deepdale as the youth team was awarded the cup.
