Stevenage 1-1 Preston
Graham Westley headed back to the lamex stadium today, this time hoping to get the lilywhites three points against a good Stevenage side.
The game was fairly even in the first half although Stevenage came the closest to taking the lead after former Preston striker Patrick Agyemang was left with a great chance after a slip up from Bailey wright, fortunately for PNE the shot went just over the bar.
PNE dominated large parts of the second half and they finally took the lead in the 85th minute after Mayor's through ball was slotted home by Hume. The 473 travelling North Enders went wild thinking the game was over and three points were heading PNE's way but sadly that was not the case.
Five minutes injury time was given (probably down to Dino Maamria being sent from the technical area earlier on in the half) and Stevenage set out for some points and in the 94th minute they got it when Stevenage captain Roberts headed home from three yards out.
PNE can take plenty of pride from the display today and although we did not get the win we played far better than we have been doing and no doubt deserved the win.
Played well and scored the goal.
