Doyle Considering Plymouth?
According to Sky Sports, Eoin Doyle, who spent time on loan with Portsmouth, who beat Plymouth to the League Two title last season, could leave Preston for the Pilgrims.
'Doyle is considering a loan move to Sky Bet League One side Plymouth,' said Sky.
Adding: 'Sky Sports News understands the clubs have agreed terms over a deal for the 29-year-old.'
Doyle has struggled for regular involvement at Deepdale since his arrival from Cardiff, more so since the Irishman's infamous on pitch spat with former Preston teammate Jermaine Beckford, which of course resulted in both being sent off against Sheffield Wednesday last season.
A loan deal agreed with Pompey last January was cut short by injury, but he still played a part in helping them towards securing promotion, as said, as champions in the end ahead of a potential club he could join.
He is yet to feature under Alex Neil and is currently some way down the boss' pecking order so an exit, be that in a loan capacity or permanently, ahead of the transfer window would probably be in the best interests of all concerned.
