With the make up of Championship known for the coming 2017/18 season and the curtain long drawn on the 2016/17 year, here is how far Preston North End fans will travel in the second tier campaign in the coming year.

The exact order of these trips were discovered when the fixtures were released a couple of weeks ago, but on a simple alphabetical basis travelling fans can tot up the cost of their journey's if they want to scare themselves, based on the number of miles involved this season.

Miles are round trips and approximately rounded.

Aston Villa - 217 miles
Barnsley - 169 miles
Birmingham City - 220 miles
Bolton Wanderers - 36 miles
Brentford - 455 miles
Bristol City - 392 miles
Burton Albion - 201 miles
Cardiff City - 423 miles
Derby County - 217 miles
Fulham - 461 miles
Hull City - 243 miles
Ipswich Town - 511 miles
Leeds United - 133 miles
Middlesbrough - 206 miles
Millwall - 472 miles
Norwich City - 474 miles
