Left Back Interesting Newcastle
Newcastle, of course the side Preston faced in a friendly on Saturday, are being credited with an interest in Josh Earl, according to HITC Sport.
Alex Neil has welcomed Earl into the Preston first team during pre-season, which in fairness was probably facilitated by former boss Simon Grayson, and the teenager has enjoyed his involvement.
Earl, 18, is yet to make his competitive debut for North End but his progression through the ranks and involvement in pre-season, he didn't get off the bench against Rafa Benitez's side though, has suggested he could get a chance during the upcoming season.
But will Preston be able to retain his services? It's claimed his 'progress at Preston has not gone unnoticed elsewhere with several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on his situation.'
Newcastle are the club hoping to tempt him to St James' Park and as much as Preston want to keep him it is thought North End 'will find it hard to resist any sizeable offer' for the full back, who can also play at wing back.
