Manchester United Midfielder Harrop Linked
Preston have signed a few players from Manchester United in recent times, Josh Harrop, who scored on his United debut against Crystal Palace last season, could become the latest, according to the Daily Mail.
Offered a new deal at Old Trafford, Harrop is out-of-contract at Man United this summer so could be tempted away from United by the prospect of regular first team football elsewhere, potentially at Deepdale.
Harrop, 21, would net Man United a compensation figure because he's under 24 and has been offered fresh terms. The Mail is saying the England U20 international could cost Preston as much as £600,000, but United, despite the contract offer, wouldn't 'stand in his way' should he opt to move on.
Grayson, who has made some shrewd signing of younger players, giving them a chance at Deepdale, where they've impressed more often than not, has already signed Ben Pearson and Liam Grimshaw from Man United recently.
Preston aren't thought to be the only club interested in Harrop but the fact he's based in the north-west could be key to his joining North End, should he decide he's no longer willing to wait for that Premier League chance with the Red Devils.
