Preston's Pre-Season Plan Taking Shape
The dust has barely settled on the 2016-17 season but football never sleeps does it. So, plans are afoot, many now falling into place, as far as Preston's pre-season preparations are concerned ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
It will be here before we know it and a testers for North End ahead of the 2017-18 Championship season have seen pre-season friendlies against the likes of Bamber Bridge and Burnley announced.
The traditional start will see Preston head to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium for this meeting with Non-League side Bamber on Friday 7th July, kick off has been confirmed as 7pm.
North End will also face away games at Stockport County, Morecambe, Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood.
Rivals, and Premier League side, Burnley will visit Deepdale for a 7:45pm kick off on Tuesday 25th July.
Of course, as with any pre-season friendly, the main thing to get from this is a challenge and the continuation of fitness being built up - such games could always be subject to change of course.
But, as things stand, these pre-season friendlies will form the latest phase of boss Simon Grayson's preparations as he looks to guide Preston to success in the Championship next season, bettering the 11th placed finish for North End last time round.
