'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Don't Let It Mean Nothing!

Victory over Leyton Orient could quickly count for nothing for Preston, however Simon Grayson is eager that this not be the case.

Not many sides have beaten Orient of late, none had at the Matchroom Stadium this season before us!

Grayson knew we could do this, and knows we've got to enjoy it but we've also got to build on it and continue the progress when we face Colchester at Deepdale at the weekend, not just in terms of the result but the performance too.

He told BBC Radio Lancashire: 'We said to the players 'let us be the ones that can go there and be the first team to win in a long time'.

'Just because we've got a result, doesn't make us the finished article.

'It's going a long way to helping us progress but we have to replicate the same performance next week against Colchester at home.'

I think he's spot on with his post-match assessment.

Enjoying the win is what we would have done, and possibly still are, but focusing on the game with the U's is what we are to do next and make sure that this win (we became the first side to beat Orient at home since the end of February!) isn't in vain....
