Monakana Extends Loan Spell

Jeffrey Monakana is the future of Preston North End isn't he?

At least you'd like to think that he is, but at the moment he's at the stage where he's not quite going to be a regular for Simon Grayson.

With that in mind he had to go out on loan, and he did that when he went to Colchester in September.

During his time at the Weston Homes Community Stadium the winger has managed five appearances so far (injury and a lack of fitness has restricted him a little) and scored once, that being on his debut.

Monakana will look to get more outings under his belt with the U's as his loan has been extended until early December.

Playing first team football is the most important thing for the 19-year-old at the moment so I think this loan move is a good move for everyone involved and he'll come back to Deepdale better for it.
