PNE Head To Bramall Lane

Preston haven't tasted success against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in my lifetime, but you'd have to think that this weekend would be the ideal for this to change.

The contrast to starts that both have made in league one couldn't be different, Preston are riding high at the top end of the table whereas Sheffield United are languishing at the wrong end as far as they'd be concerned.

Sheffield United brought in Marlon King during the week; he has signed a contract with the Blades until the end of the season so could come in for his debut as the Blades look for a first win since the opening day of the season.

Preston on the other hand have won three games on the bounce and are still unbeaten and don't have any injury concerns to content with as Chris Humphrey's withdrawal last time out was nothing more than cramp.

The omens, overall, are good for the home side as the Lilywhites haven't won at Bramall Lane since 1978 but the form guide tends to suggest that this will change so all being well 35-years of waiting will come to an end on Saturday afternoon and I think I would have my money on this!

What about you, the outcome of this game is the subject of the latest Vital Preston poll to your right so let us know with a vote in that as well as a comment below...
