PNE Conclude With Rochdale Draw

Preston brought the curtain down on pre-season with a draw at Rochdale on Saturday afternoon.

As half time approached Tom Clarke, who had been causing problems from set pieces all afternoon, opened the scoring to send Preston into the break one-nil to the good.

It didn't take Rochdale long to draw level after the break, Scott Hogan's goal ensuring the game at Spotland ended in a 1-1 draw.

North End now look forward to the League One kick-off next week, and can go into this with a bit of optimism I feel.

Preston: Rudd, Keane, Buchanan, King, Clarke, Wright, Humphrey (Hayhurst, 84), Welsh (Wroe, 65), K Davies, Hume (Mousinho, 73), Holmes.
