Davies Makes His Mark Against Blackburn

Kevin Davies didn't take long to make an impression on the Preston faithful, with the former Bolton striker striking against Blackburn in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

The veteran striker marked his Lilywhites debut with a goal after just five-minutes, bravely putting his head in where others might not have put a boot!

An equaliser from DJ Campbell levelled things up for Blackburn before the break. 1-1 was the half time score and 1-1 was the full time score.

Preston: Rudd, Keane (Huntington, 71), Buchanan (Laird, 86), Welsh (King, 46), Clarke, Wright, Humphrey (Byrom, 78), Wroe, K Davies (Hayhurst, 72), Mousinho (Croasdale, 86), Holmes. Subs not used: Stuckmann, Cummins, Monakana, Cansdell-Sherriff, Beardsley.

Blackburn: Kean, Kane, Kilgallon, Marrow (O'Sullivan, 73), Hanley, Dann, King (Payne, 83), Lowe, Campbell (Taylor, 45), Judge, Rhodes. Subs not used: Urwin, O'Sullivan, Payne.
