'If It's Football, It's Vital'

PNE And Proctor Part Ways

Andy Proctor was reportedly closing in on a move to a League Two club, well this hasn't happened just yet but the midfielders Preston exit has been confirmed.

Having started out at Preston the 30-year-old returned to Deepdale under former boss Graham Westley in January last year, instantly becoming captain.

Under Simon Grayson he was one of three players informed that he didn't have a future with the club and following a mutually agreed deal the midfielder is free to move on wherever he wants following the termination of his contract.

Best of luck to Proctor, who could have easily dug in his heels and seen out his contract happily playing reserve team football but unlike many of the modern day mercenary in football this isn't his style it appears.
