Great Competition For Left Back Spot

Having Scott Laird back from injury for next season will make him like a new signing for Simon Grayson.

A broken leg had Laird on the sidelines before Grayson's appointment, and despite returning to training before the season was out the Preston boss opted against taking any undue risks in case further injury was caused.

Delighted by the defenders effort and commitment to come back Grayson has spelt out in the local media how pleased he is to have him back and looks forward to him battling with David Buchanan and Ben Davies next season, with competition healthy for any club!
