Hume Future Unclear

Iain Hume, upon Simon Grayson's appointment, was told that he could still have a future at Preston. However, if he does remains unclear.

Having spent the season on loan with Doncaster, and helping them to promotion, it's not unconceivable that the now Championship side would want to sign the striker permanently?

Simon Grayson, as he told The Evening Post, will talk with Hume but even if he wanted to keep him his "good wages" could be a factor against this if it's possible to move him on. He said: 'I'll be having a conversation with Iain soon to see where we are at.

'We've got to consider that he is on a good wage and has just gone up with Doncaster.'

The 29-year-old does still have a year on his contract so as much as this is stretching The Lilywhites if an offer isn't made for him then Hume will remain at Deepdale.
