New Manager New Start
Another player that will be given another chance with Preston, that they wouldn't have under previous boss Graham Westley, is Shane Cansdell-Sherriff.
Bailey Wright almost left last summer, but this did not come off and he has ultimately gone on to signed a new two-year deal under Simon Grayson.
Cansdell-Sherriff was sent out on loan to Rochdale in January following a fall out with Westley, which looked like it would see his Deepdale career end. Simon Grayson, as he told The Evening Post, has met up with the defender and he will now have the chance in pre-season to prove he's worthy of having a future with The Lilywhites.
Grayson said: 'Shane is back with us, I've had a chat with him and he'll report back for pre-season with the others.
'He left the football club not because he wasn't playing, but after having a disagreement with the previous manager.
'Shane wanted to play first-team football and so went to Rochdale on loan to get that. Like everyone else, he'll get the chance to impress me after the summer.
'What has gone on before doesn't bother me.'
It'll now be down to the 30-year-old, who joined North End on a free from Shrewsbury last summer, to prove his worth to Grayson.
