New Deal For Wright
Preston triggered a clause in Bailey Wright's contract recently to ensure that he would spend the next season at Deepdale.
Not content with that The Lilywhites have extended it yet further, with a new two-year deal now having been signed.
All this comes after former Preston boss Graham Wesley came close to letting the defender leave Deepdale last summer! On that and his new deal the Australian, as he told BBC Radio Lancashire, said: 'It was a bit of strange summer for me, not knowing my future.
'I was quite close (to leaving). If I'd have had the chance to go somewhere, I probably would have gone. It didn't work out that way and I'm glad it didn't. I'm happy that I'm still here.
'My goal next year is to win the league and to get the club back into the Championship where it deserves to be. That's all we're looking to achieve. It's a good club with a good setup and it would be unbelievable if we could do that.'
A return to the Championship is what all at Preston want, and with the likes of Wright's help, and players with the ability that he has, it could be on next season?
