'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kelly Stay Extended

Alan Kelly's spell with Preston will be carried on into next season.

The former Ireland goalkeeper has acted as Preston's goalkeeping coach under Simon Grayson, and he's decided that he wants the former Lilywhites keeper to remain at the club for next season.

He, and other members of the coaching staff are now in place by Grayson who, as he told the official website, is still looking for a few more additions.

Grayson said: 'Kells is a good friend of mine and he has been good since he has been at the football club and Alan will stay with us next year.

'We have got the coaching staff now in place for next year and hopefully there will be other sections of the staff that we need to improve on and add to as well because we are short in a couple of areas in terms of fitness coach, IT department, chief scout etc. so these are all parts that certainly help me with my development as a manager but also development of the football club.

'They are there, they are specialist positions and we want specialised people to be able to help us affect the first team and football club in general.'
