Waiting For The Norwich Green Light?
Declan Rudd returns to Norwich once the season ends; however his loan spell with Preston over the past three-months has been a successful one.
The England U21 international has expressed an interest in staying at Deepdale, however with a year left on his contract the fee that the Premier League side would probably want for Rudd would rule out such a transfer?
Simon Grayson, as he told The Lancashire Evening Post, isn't ruling out a (what you'd assume would be a loan) return next season, he said: 'Declan has done everything we have asked of him. He has been composed, made saves when he's had to and is good with his feet too.
'The lad is an England Under-21s goalkeeper and that speaks volumes for him.
'Declan will go back to Norwich this summer and we will see what their plans are. If he becomes available I'm sure we might have a good opportunity to bring him back.
'That is an area of the pitch we want to get sorted out.'
Would Norwich really loan him out with only a year on his contract though, effectively running it down before he left on a free? You'd not think so.
You'd also expect other clubs to come in with a money offer if The Canaries did decide that they were willing to part with him.
