Preston Taste Defeat At Crewe

Crewe 1-0 Preston
1st April 2013
15:00
Gresty Road

Preston haven't tasted defeat that often since Simon Grayson took over, and having avoided defeat on Good Friday (which wouldn't have been warranted) they couldn't avoid this at Crewe on Easter Monday.

But for an Alan Martin save early on Preston would have been ahead through Graham Cummins, however Crewe twice went close as well with Declan Rudd saving well twice.

Crewe did break through though just past the half hour mark when Bradden Inman (32) converted from 12-yards.

Preston went close on several occasions in the second half but the hosts stood firm and saw out a 1-0 win.
