Playing The Waiting Game

New Preston boss Simon Grayson is still to dip into the transfer market since his arrival and, as he told The Evening Post, isn't rushing to do this.

Movement before the weekend isn't likely to happen but Grayson admits that players have been watched and moves to bring in loan reinforcements could well be likely before the loan window closes: 'We've been out watching games at different levels, assessing what is out there.

'We might get injuries and suspensions which would put us in a position where we have to bring people in.

'There are players out there who we think might be available but nothing will be done before the weekend.'

With only two players currently on loan at Deepdale there's plenty of room for further loanees to come in if the club so wishes, however such moves will only be made if the deal is right for Preston and those brought in are of better quality to those already in place.
