'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Former PNE Striker Trundle Joins Chester

Lee Trundle is back in football following his mutual departure from Preston last month.

An injury-ravaged spell saw the 36-year-old limited to just a couple of outings, and a few minutes, of first-team football following his arrival in the summer with it decided with former Lilywhites boss that his future was best served elsewhere.

Chester tried to sign the former Welsh international in the summer but the chance of a Football League return couldn't be turned down, however in order to better tie in with his media aspirations Trundle will play Non-League football signing for the Conference North leaders until the end of the summer on "non-contract" terms.
