As so often happens a change of managers brought a change of fortunes, this time for Preston. John Dreyer's first game as caretaker manager saw Preston stun League One leaders Bournemouth.
Both sides had chances early on before Stuart Beavon's (19) fine strike put Preston ahead with Bailey Wright (31) adding a second from close range just past the half hour mark.
Bournemouth tried to get back into the game but The Lilywhites stood firm to secure a first home win in months, and only a second at all in League One since November, with this 2-0 win.
