Veteran Striker Leaves Preston
Lee Trundle has had his contract with Preston ended, with both parties agreeing this is the best way forward.
A knee injury shortly after his arrival has left the 36-year-old struggling for fitness and has seen him make just two outings as a substitute for The Lilywhites.
Preston manager Graham Westley has admitted that he feared for Trundle once he got his knee injury, telling BBC Radio Lancashire: 'I never said it publicly, but when he took the knock at Morecambe, I knew it was a big knock for someone of his age to come back from.'
This has proven to be the case.
As a result it has been mutually agreed to cancel the strikers one-year contract early with a playing career that fits in with his planned career in the media expected to be sought now, which will probably result in him moving away from the fulltime professional game again?
