Preston Share The Points With Coventry
Preston 2-2 Coventry
26th January 2013
Preston allowed a lead to slip but still managed to fightback to earn a home point against Coventry at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon.
Having been denied an early opener by a goal line clearance Preston did force the breakthrough on the half hour when Graham Cummins (30) scored. Coventry were soon level though when Leon Clarke (38) equalised to put the sides into the break level.
Minutes after the break Chris Robertson (53) scored an own goal to see The Sky Blues come from behind to lead. However, like Coventry had in the first half, Preston soon brought the scores level again when Nicky Wroe (60) scored on the hour.
A point, with it ending 2-2, is better than a defeat but it is now 10-games since The Lilywhites tasted a League One victory at home.
