Garner joins Preston after Watford release

Joe Garner has been signed by Preston following his release by Watford.

An unsuccessful spell with Watford (which came off the back of early promise shown with Carlisle and Nottingham Forest earlier in his career) came to an end recently when he was released by the Championship side.

Preston boss Graham Westley wanted to sign the 24-year-old in the summer but didn't have the funds to purchase him, however following his released after a successful loan return to his former side Carlisle the chance Westley wanted presented itself.

Garner has signed an 18-month contract with The Lilywhites, which if he shows the form he did with Carlisle in the first half of the season should be a successful spell for all concerned!
