'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Former Preston man calls it a day

Kevin Kilbane, well known to Preston having started his career with the club, has retired from the professional game.

The 35-year-old signed a one-year contract with The Lilywhites league one rivals Coventry last summer but after a few appearances at the start of the season the midfielder hasn't featured since October.

Kilbane, who won an incredible 110 caps for the Republic of Ireland, said: ' would like to thank the directors, coaching staff, players and supporters at Coventry City Football Club for my brief time at the club and wish them all the best for the future.'
