'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Experienced non-league striker arrives

Preston have made a surprising move into the loan market to sign Grimsby's Anthony Elding on an emergency loan.

At 30-years of age the striker, who has played for Stockport, Leeds, Crewe and Ferencvaros (among others), is vastly experienced so can offer The Lilywhites the benefits of this.

Playing in the football league, at a decent level, isn't unknown to him so perhaps this surprising move could well prove a masterstroke by Graham Westley?

Elding will stay at Deepdale until the New Year, with his loan scheduled to run up to, and including, the New years Day meeting with Hartlepool.
