There wasn't much in it but the record books will still show that Preston were beaten by Sheffield United at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon.
With a goalless first half on the cards Dave Kitson (43) continued his goalscoring form to put Sheffield United a goal up at the break.
This goal proved enough with Preston unable to find an equaliser so The Blades won 1-0.
