Latics see off Preston

Oldham 3-1 Preston
6th October 2012
15:00
Boundary Park

Preston were beaten by local rivals Oldham at Boundary Park on Saturday afternoon to end their mini run of form.

A Jose Baxter (27) goal was enough to send Oldham into the break one-nil up.

By the time the midway point of the second half had just passed Oldham had sown the match up with another couple of goals from Cristian Montano (57) and Dean Furman (69).

Preston had Shane Cansdell-Sherriff sent off late on for a second bookable offence but did have the last say when Akpo Sodje (90+4) struck deep into injury-time, but that was just a consolation in a 3-1 Oldham win.
