'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Westley: It was definitely a step forward

Preston maintained their fine record at Doncaster with another win on Tuesday night, extending the unbeaten run at Doncaster to almost 20-years.

Graham Westley, as he told BBC Radio Lancashire, thought his side gave a "more professional performance" in this 3-1 win: 'It was definitely a step forward for us tonight. It was a much more professional performance, we did a lot more of the right things, and in the end I thought it was a convincing win.

'We deservedly went ahead and then took our foot off the gas for 15 minutes.

'In the second half, we took the lessons on board, came out to go and win the game, passed the ball well and always looked threatening going forward.'
