Preston maintain impressive Donny record

Doncaster 1-3 Preston
2nd October 2012
19:45
The Keepmoat Stadium

Going into the game Preston hadn't lost at Doncaster since 1994, a victory later on Tuesday night they extended that record for another year at least.

Jack King (33) put Preston into the lead just after the half hour mark but Doncaster equalised in injury-time through David Cotterill (45+1) to ensure the sides were level at the half time break.

On the hour The Lilywhites were ahead again when Scott Laird (60) scored with a win secured when Stuart Beavon (71) broke away to add another.

From the sounds of it Doncaster were hard done by, the post denying them once, but the 3-1 Preston win is what the record books will show!
