Westley: More of the same

Jeffrey Monakana was at the heart of most things for Preston on Saturday afternoon with the teenager challenged to repeat this form regularly.

The 18-year-old scored one, made another and had a hand the Yeovil sending off with Graham Westley wanting consistency for him: 'Jeffrey always had the beating of their left-back and we didn't get the ball to him enough in the first half.

'He's got to learn to boss other players and get them to give him the ball otherwise he can't be effective.

'We fed Jeffrey more in the second half and he was more effective. What he needs to learn is how to not drift out of the game. When Jeffrey gets the ball at his feet and he's running at people he's a real handful and we saw that in the second half.'

It's all a learning curve for the youngster, who will have good and bad days but having more good than bad is what The Lilywhites are looking for from him.
